"Ye princes and ministers, ye nobles and chiefs of the army, ye professors and priests,  ye people of  Ethiopia,  look ye upon our Emperor Haile Selassie the First, descended from the dynasty of Menelik the First, who was born of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba, a dynasty perpetuated without interruption from that time to King Sahela Selassie and to our time."
        -  Abuna Querillos at the transfiguration  of Negus Ras Tafari Makonnen to
                   Emperor Haile Selassie I

Ethio-Africa has given the world three major religions:
Judeo-Christianity, Islam, and Traditional Worship.  Rastafarians have chosen Traditional Worship, where the King represents the visible representation of God.
The devotees of this conception; such as, Rastafarians, recognize the divinity of Emperor Haile Selassie the First (Haile Selassie I) of Ethiopia as our King and God.
In ancient Ethiopic tradition, the kings from the lineage of King David are associated with the Messianic conception of anointing the king, which is compatible of Samuel anointing Saul in '1 Samuel 10 v1 & 6 v9-10', and in 16 v13, when Samuel anointed David.  This act establishes the 'Hereditary Divine Kingship of God on Earth'.  These divine kingships were proclaimed by the temple from the days of King Solomon.

Come and join us as we venerate and worship His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie  I as the God of the Ages, of the Old Testament, and the fulfillment of prophecy identified in Isaiah 1:1-2, Psalms 87:1-4, 2nd Chronicles 7:10 and Isaiah 9:6.
Our worship begins at 11:00 am every Sunday at all locations. From Brooklyn New York to Kingston Jamaica, including London England and Barbados.

  • Our mission is to restore the
dynasty of Emperor Haile Selassie I
       by liberating 'Initiates' through
       Temple Worship and through
        Prince Zara Yacob Asfa Wossen
       Amha Selassie I.

  • To fight for Rastafarian rights in the
       Caribbean and worldwide.

  • Liberation of Ethiopia and
restoration of the Dynasty of Haile
       Selassie I, through Constitutional
       Monarchy

The Church of Haile Selassie I was formed in the year 1987 by
brother Ammanuel Foxe, a Rastafarian activist and

International President of the Imperial Ethiopian World
Federation, Inc. along with other brethrens.

The Theological base of The Church of Haile Selassie I is founded upon temple worship through liturgical chant and rituals dated back to the days of Moses in the wilderness.

The Church of Haile Selassie I wish to express the fact that all are welcome to the temple to worship God Emperor Haile Selassie I in spirit and in truth.
However in order to maintain the sanctity and the integrity of the Church and its members, we see it necessary to issue a dress code guideline for attending worship.
We ask respectfully that all visitors adhere to the dress code and that all initiates who invite visitors to communicate the dress code to them prior to coming to worship.
